Rihanna In The Last Dragon Remake? Not So Fast

For the past week, there have been online rumors that RIHANNA has landed the part of a "super sexy dominatrix" in a remake of the 1985 martial arts film The Last Dragon. But now Entertainment Weekly says that they're not painting Rihanna's name on a dressing room door just yet.

EW.com reports that Sony Pictures is working on remaking the film, which will star SAMUEL L. JACKSON, but there's no director as of yet.  They're also not ready to cast the role for which Rihanna is rumored, a role that was originally played by VANITY, one of PRINCE's protegees.  A source tells EW that Rihanna is "definitely one of the names of their short list" of people they'd like to fill the role, because they want to cast an African-American pop artist, but that many different people are interested in the part.  The movie might start shooting this summer, if a director can be hired in the next month.
