Sony Sues TV Guide Network Over Michael Jackson Specials

The TV Guide Network has aired a few MICHAEL JACKSON specials paying tribute to the King of Pop. Sony Music Entertainment was not moved by the programs -- in fact, it's accusing the cable channel of exploiting Michael's death.

Sony is suing the TV Guide Network, claiming it infringed upon its copyrights when it included some of Michael's music videos, including those for "Thriller" and "Beat It," in the specials Michael Jackson: His Musical Legacy and Michael Jackson: The Life and Times of the King of Pop. Sony seeks unspecified damages and also wants the TV Guide Network to stop airing the programs.
